Macy McGrail (she/her) is an actor, comedian, singer, writer, and native New Yorker. Born and raised in the Theatre District, Macy has spent her whole life surrounded by the arts. She launched her professional career at nine with a commercial that gained worldwide attention ("Camp Gyno" - #1 video on Youtube for a moment in time!), and went on to perform in commercials, voiceovers, and professional theatre. She graduated from LaGuardia High School’s Drama Studio in 2021, where she performed in principal roles in two mainstage musicals. Macy graduated in May of 2025 from Boston University's School of Theatre with a BFA in Acting, a concentration in Musical Theatre, and Shakespeare training from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
In exciting news, Macy will be performing Off-Broadway at the Theater Center in John Anastasi’s Pied-A-Terre, as Katie McDaniels. Previews begin February 22nd. https://www.piedaterreplay.com.
Macy can often be found performing improv comedy at venues across New York City. She completed the full improv training program at Upright Citizens Brigade, along with additional sketch comedy training. She performs with several indie teams and has appeared at UCB, AsylumNYC, The Rat, BCC, Caveat, and more.
Macy’s debut full-length play, a dark comedy called LOLLIE, was widely well-received when performed as a staged reading at Boston University. Since then, a series of industry readings has accelerated the play’s development, with production conversations and next-phase opportunities actively underway.
